Which FlexModule fits my router?
FlexModule Mini fits the single expansion bay on Balance 20X, 380X and 580X. FlexModule Plus fits the larger module bays on EPX, SDX and SDX Pro — EPX supports up to 7 FlexModule Plus bays, SDX/SDX Pro support 2. Check your router’s exact bay count before ordering multiple modules.
Can I install a FlexModule myself, and is it hot-swappable?
Installation is straightforward but not hot-swappable — Peplink’s own install guide requires powering down the router, disconnecting antennas, removing the existing module or cover, and screwing in the replacement. No soldering or specialist tools are required, but the router will be offline briefly during the swap.
Is the FlexModule Mini 5G and FlexModule Plus 2x 5G genuine 5G, or just fast 4G?
Both carry genuine 5G New Radio (NR) modems — Sub-6GHz, Standalone and Non-Standalone — with high-category LTE as automatic fallback where 5G coverage isn’t available. They are not simply high-category LTE-A modules marketed as “5G.”
Do antennas come included with the cellular modules?
No — every LTE-A and 5G FlexModule (Mini and Plus) requires antennas to be purchased separately, matched to the module’s connector count and type. See our Antennas range for compatible options.

Peplink’s UK list price and is shown ex VAT. VAT and delivery are calculated at checkout — orders over £750 (ex VAT) ship free within the UK; a flat £15 (ex VAT) delivery charge applies below that threshold.
