Overview
The Peplink MAX BR2 LTEA packs two embedded LTE-Advanced CAT-7 modems into the same rugged chassis as the standard BR2, giving it more cellular headroom for bandwidth-sensitive applications. Built-in eSIM and remote SIM configuration eliminate truck rolls for provisioning, configuration, and management — devices can be shipped pre-activated and managed entirely from the cloud.
A fanless design supports three power options — Micro-Fit connector, 802.3at PoE input, or a terminal block for mobile deployment (12V–30V DC) — making installation straightforward whether the unit sits in a fixed cabinet or a moving vehicle. Simultaneous dual-band Wi-Fi 6 covers client devices or can serve as Wi-Fi WAN, with GPS, GPIO, and Ignition Sensing rounding out its industrial/mobile feature set.
Key highlights
- 2x embedded CAT-7 LTE-Advanced modems with redundant SIM slots
- 1x Gigabit Ethernet WAN + 4x Gigabit Ethernet LAN + 1x USB WAN
- Simultaneous dual-band Wi-Fi 6, 2×2 MIMO, Wi-Fi WAN and/or AP
- 300 Mbps router throughput
- SpeedFusion Hot Failover, WAN Smoothing, Bandwidth Bonding
- Nano-SIM (4FF), Peplink eSIM, and BYO eSIM (2 profiles per modem) support
- GPS fleet tracking, GPIO, and Ignition Sensing
- Fanless design, operates from -40° to 65°C
- Flexible power: Micro-Fit connector, 802.3at PoE, or terminal block (12V–30V DC)
Recommended for
- Bandwidth-sensitive remote deployments — CAT-7 gives more headroom than CAT-4 for video, telemetry, or multiple users per site
- Fleet & vehicle applications — GPS tracking and Ignition Sensing built in
- Sites needing maximum cellular resilience — dual-modem bonding and failover across two separate carriers
- Mass deployments — zero-truck-roll provisioning via built-in eSIM
